The Skin Stack

The looksmaxxing kit: a starter routine for men

TheLooksMaxxing kit is a four-step skin routine for men (a dark spot serum, an eye gel-cream, a peptide moisturizer and a retinol night moisturizer) with an optional PDRN serum and a three-product gym stack. It works on the look of your skin and on your training over weeks, not days, and every ingredient is printed on the label.

Most looksmaxxing advice ends at “get a routine”. This is the routine: four skin products that cover morning and night, one optional upgrade, and a gym stack for the part of your appearance that comes from training. Each step is here for one job, and none of them is there to fill a box.

The Skin Stack, morning

  • 1. Cleanse. Any gentle cleanser you already like. The kit does not include one.
  • 2. Dark Spot Serum. Niacinamide, kojic acid, azelaic acid and hexylresorcinol, all named, for a brighter, more even-looking tone. It goes on first, onto clean, dry skin.
  • 3. Peptide Eye Gel-Cream. Acetyl tetrapeptide-5 and sodium hyaluronate for the look of dark circles and puffiness. Pat a small amount along the orbital bone; do not rub.
  • 4. Peptide Moisturizer. A copper-peptide moisturizer for hydrated, smoother-looking skin on the face and neck.
  • 5. Sunscreen. Not in the kit, and not optional. An even-looking tone does not survive daily sun, and the night step makes your skin more sun-sensitive.

The Skin Stack, night

  • 1. Cleanse. Take the day off.
  • 2. Eye Gel-Cream again. It is made for once or twice daily; twice is the routine.
  • 3. Anti-Aging Moisturizer. Retinol, two peptides and ceramide NP for firmer-looking skin and the look of fine lines. Retinol is the reason it lives at night. Start every other night for the first couple of weeks, and back off if your skin feels tight or flaky.

The upgrade: PDRN

The PDRN Brightening Serum is the optional fifth step, for when the routine is a habit and you want more from it. Polydeoxyribonucleotide is named on the ingredient list, not only on the box, alongside acetyl hexapeptide-8 and a three-part hydration base, for a brighter-looking, smoother finish. It goes on after cleansing and before the eye cream, at night and, if you like, in the morning after the Dark Spot Serum. The background is in what PDRN is and glass skin for men.

The Gym Stack

Skin is half of what the kit works on. The other half is body composition, which changes how a face and a frame read more than any serum.

  • Creatine + Hydration — 5 g creatine monohydrate per scoop with sodium, potassium and magnesium, for strength and power output. Take it daily, training day or not; see how to take creatine.
  • Performance Whey — 22 g protein per serving from whey isolate and concentrate, both named. It is a convenient way to reach a daily protein target, not a replacement for food.
  • BCAA Shock — 5 g BCAAs at 2:1:1 with glutamine, around training. The most optional of the three: if your protein intake is already high, start with the other two.

The training itself is in body recomp basics.

The honest timeline

Hydration shows the same day. Tone, texture and the look of the under-eye are an eight-week judgment, so take a photo on day one in the same light at the same time of day, and compare photos rather than memory. Retinol often takes a few weeks to settle in. Creatine at 5 g a day builds up over roughly three to four weeks. Anyone promising a visible change in days is selling the photo, not the product.

What the kit will not do

  • It will not change bone structure: not your jaw, your cheekbones, your fWHR or your canthal tilt.
  • It will not bring back hair on a receding hairline.
  • It is not an acne product. Persistent breakouts are a question for a dermatologist.
  • It will not make up for short sleep. That is a separate, free lever.

Every ingredient on the label

Every skin product lists its full ingredient list in order of concentration, and every supplement prints its dose per scoop. Nothing is hidden behind a proprietary blend. Patch-test anything new on a small area first, especially the retinol night cream.

Not sure where to start? The free face scan checks your skin zones on your phone, with no upload, and suggests products for those zones only. To build your own combination, use the protocol builder.

The upgrade

Add the glow step.

The full shelf

PDRN named on the INCI, for hydration and a brighter, more even-looking tone. Goes on before moisturizer.

The Gym Stack

What the rack builds.

Body composition changes how a face reads more than any serum. Creatine, protein, recovery.
