Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a lightweight, fragrance free hydration serum built on four forms of hyaluronic acid: sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, sodium hyaluronate, sodium acetylated hyaluronate and hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate. Sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer is a cross linked network form. It sits on the surface and holds water there, so the hydrated feel lasts longer than a plain solution.

Sodium hyaluronate is the standard form, the one most serums stop at. A humectant that binds water at the skin's surface.

Sodium acetylated hyaluronate is a modified form built to resist breaking down as fast and to hold onto skin better, so the hydration does not wash off with the first splash of water.

Hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate is a lower molecular weight form that settles into the upper layers of skin rather than sitting on top, so the surface and the layer beneath it both read as hydrated. Most single form serums skip it.

The base is propanediol and glycerin, two more humectants and no drying alcohol. The emulsifier, sorbitan oleate decylglucoside crosspolymer, is plant derived. There is no fragrance and no silicone, which is why it absorbs clean and layers under anything without pilling.
